Carrick is a small medical practice in majestic South West Donegal. The   surgery and office are in the village of Carrick. Carrick Health Centre is a HSE facility and is also home to the Public Health nurse (0749739346).

Christmas and New Year Opening Hours

The practice will close for Christmas at 17:00 on 24/12/2025, Christmas Eve. It will open again Monday 29/12/2025. The practice is open New Year’s Eve but will close for New Year’s day 2026. We open in the normal way 2/1/2026.

There are some restrictions on blood tests over Christmas and New Year’s, so please book any non-urgent bloods in the New Year.

December 2025; extra evening appointments

From 9/12/2025, we are providing evening GP appointments from 5 PM to 7 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This is with a view to easing pressure on NoWDOC and the hospital at this time of year. Please call reception in normal working hours to arrange an appointment, if possible.
