Dr Aidan Kehoe

Dr Aidan Kehoe has worked in the practice since 2021, taking over as the principal GP in December 2022. After an initial career in the area of linguistics and software development, he studied medicine at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, and did his specialist training in General Practice in Co Donegal. While training as a GP he also achieved Membership by Examination of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine and continues to work in that specialty.

He provides a full range of GP services, and also has an interest in minor surgery. He can provide long-acting contraceptive implants, joint injections, venesection for haemochromatosis, ingrown toenail treatment with phenol. and a range of other procedures. Please contact the surgery for details.

Dr Heather McIntyre

DrMcIntyreDr Mc Intyre has lived, and worked in general practice, in the area for 25 years, and ran the practice until 2022. She qualified in London (St Bartholomew's Hospital), and trained first of all in paediatrics, working at King's College Hospital and Guy's Hospital in London, and as paediatric registrar at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford , holding the Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) in paediatrics and child health. She then went to Sudan in 1987 to run a medical programme in a refugee camp, where she met her husband Conal. After several years in Sudan she completed general practice training in Scotland and came to live in her husband's home village of Glencolmcille. She also holds the Certificate in Family Planning and Membership of the Irish College of General Practitioners.
